1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CJ Shipping Logistics website, booking system, and freight forwarding services (the "Services"), operated from 6825 Miramar Pkwy, Miramar, FL 33023 ("CJ Shipping Logistics," "we," "us," or "our"). By booking a shipment, creating an account, or otherwise using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Description of Services
CJ Shipping Logistics is a freight forwarder that ships barrels, boxes, pallets, air cargo, and vehicles from Florida to Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Depending on the item and fulfillment option you select, we offer:
- Pickup — we collect your shipment from an address you provide, at a scheduled time slot.
- Drop-Off — you bring your shipment to our warehouse at a scheduled time slot.
- Ship-It-In — you send your shipment to us via a third-party carrier (currently FedEx), whose own terms of service and tariffs also apply to that leg of transport.
Estimated pricing shown on the site is based on the item type, weight, and destination you provide. Final pricing is confirmed at checkout.
3. Accounts
Creating an account lets you save your information for faster future bookings. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at cjshipping3@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
4. Booking, Payment & Pay-Later
Payment is due at the time of booking by credit/debit card (processed by Stripe) or by Zelle. For Drop-Off bookings only, we may offer a pay-later option, in which case payment is due before your shipment departs our warehouse; we reserve the right to hold any shipment until payment is received in full.
All prices are quoted in U.S. dollars. You are responsible for any bank or currency conversion fees charged by your financial institution.
5. Accurate Manifests & Declared Value
You must provide an accurate, itemized manifest and a truthful declared value for every shipment. Undervaluing a shipment, misdescribing its contents, or omitting items is a breach of these Terms and may void insurance coverage, delay customs clearance, or result in seizure — none of which we are responsible for if caused by inaccurate information you provided.
6. Prohibited Items
You may not ship, and we may refuse or remove from a shipment, any item that is illegal to export from the United States, illegal to import into Haiti or the Dominican Republic, or prohibited by our carriers, including but not limited to: illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia, firearms, ammunition, and explosives (unless separately arranged and properly licensed), hazardous materials, counterfeit goods, currency and negotiable instruments, and live animals. By booking, you confirm your shipment contains no illegal items and that you understand all sales are final under our Refund Policy.
7. Customs & Import Compliance
You are solely responsible for complying with all customs, duty, and import laws of Haiti and the Dominican Republic. We are not responsible for customs delays, additional duties or fees assessed by foreign customs authorities, or seizure of prohibited or misdeclared items. Any customs duties or fees are your responsibility, not ours.
8. Delivery Timeframes
Any transit times shown on our site, in booking confirmations, or communicated by our staff are estimates only. Sea, air, and ground transit can be delayed by customs processing, weather, carrier schedules, and other factors outside our control. We do not guarantee delivery by a specific date.
9. Risk of Loss & Liability
For the Ship-It-In option, the carrier's (FedEx's) own terms, tariffs, and liability limits govern that leg of transport; any claim for loss or damage occurring in the carrier's custody must be filed with the carrier under its process. For shipments in our direct custody (Pickup and Drop-Off through departure), our liability for loss or damage is limited to the lesser of the declared value you provided or the amount you paid us for that shipment. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.
10. Tracking & Communications
We'll send booking confirmations, tracking updates, and account-related notices to the email address you provide. You're responsible for keeping your contact information current.
11. Refunds
Our refund terms are set out in our separate Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.
12. Right to Refuse Service
We may refuse, cancel, or suspend service to anyone, at any time, for any lawful reason, including suspected fraud, abuse of our staff, or repeated violations of these Terms.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our Services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida.
